My Very First Figma

.... is a Black Rock Shooter(BRS). i am so happy and excited to play with it but decided to open it on Christmas day. it is supposed to be the present from Santa. hahaha

i already saw someone selling it on istorya.net but i was having second thoughts on buying it. i know it is a waste of money but i really, really, really like to own one. then, i decided to wait until my birthday. if it is still available then it is definitely for me, if not, oh well... (just like what i did on the FFXIII figurine)

as i was browsing again at istorya.net. i always visit THAT thread and found out that it was on sale for a limited time. i can't let this opportunity pass! so i texted and pm'ed the owner. and we agreed to a deal.=]

Saturday came and finally i got to hold my Figma. i was so happy that i kept hugging it and showed it off to my friends. hahahaha. then i realized that there was an original dvd inside the box. what a surprise, my happiness just doubled!=D

thank you so much paolo. i was hoping to buy his dead master but i was short on cash. i was wishing he'd cut 200php off the his selling price. hhhmm.... maybe i'll pre-order a Black Gold Saw.... Alexander said Men2x has paypal.=D

i'll think about it, but first, i want to own Dead Master.X|

The December Wind

i already felt the spirit of Christmas a month ago but this time, it is really Christmas... well not yet but this is the month! hehehe

we already started decorating the office yesterday and played Christmas songs.
while i was on my way home yesterday, the traffic was a bit unusual. then, i remembered: it was the lighting ceremony(or similar to that) of the huge Christmas tree at the Fuente circle. I was just in time for the fireworks but the fireworks were really weird since it did not explode in the sky. it explode while it was still 1/3 of the height of Crown Regency. 1/3 = = 10 floors? that was really low. i bet some got hit by it. hahahaha

Christmas for me means lots of presents. hehehe.
here are some stuffs on my Christmas wishlist:
-a (Black Rock Shooter, Dead Master, Black Gold Saw) Figma. any one of these would do
-a laptop cooler
-a Maglite Mini. trhe LED one
-a car. the Suzuki Swift or any pick-up truck will do as long as it is NOT a multicab
-Rock Band for PS3. heck! i don't even have a PS3
-a Golden Retriever stuffed toy. i want it to look like Zero
-another black hoodie/jacket
-mini studio
-books (immortals series, highway to hell, hush hush, law of nines, sookie stackhouse series and others that i forgot.XD)

i have a feeling that there will be no otakufest this year

Cebu Cosplay | ARCHCON 2010

i was expecting this event to be very big.... or majestic or whateverthatisgreat.
but my expectations were just plain high.

i expected lots of cool cosplayers with great costumes but to my dismay:
-many just recycled their costumes(for those attending the conventions for the last 3 months, they would notice. hey i know life is hard but, but, but wearing the same costumes for 3 straight events? come on)
-lots were cosplaying the same characters at the same time.(awkward since the other one is more accurate than the other)
-wrong interpretation of costumes
-wrong materials used. result? cheap looking costumes (i'm sorry but it is true.)
-cheap looking wigs>.< they look like shiny, shiny, SHINY plastic. ( i know wigs are expensive but there are people that will let you rent a decent wig. did you check yourself in the mirror before going out? you have a nice costume but your wig sucks. all your efforts will just go down the drain... or some of it)
-really, really, REALLY sucky props.(i appreciate your effort but could you at least even out the paint. if your prop is a black sword or something that is purely black, paint it all with black. don't leave the sides white exposing the material being used which is so not good to look at)
-the place was a bit small because of the Nat Geo thing there.
-i can't distinguish if it was a booth or just people sitting there chatting.
-cosplayers who signed up for the competition did not show up

the group cosplay was better. they were fun.

we arrived after lunch, maybe that is why i didn't enjoy the con. but what's the difference? cosplayers who joined the competition wont just go home after their walk on the runway. as i have checked on other peoples' pictures, we did not miss that much.

we didn't finish the event. we were on our way to eat snacks when we bumped into Nikki. teehee. then we had a little talk then finally said out goodbyes.

went to eat at Kenny Rogers since i promised to treat An2x. went to fully booked after dinner. then bumped into Chief a.k.a. Marvin Alan. talked a lot about books. what is good and what is not. i so want to read Hunger Games right now. the book we were looking for were not available (The Looking Glass Wars by Frank Beddor and Highway to Hell by Rosemary Clement-Moore) if any of you have these books or know where to get them locally, please tell me.=D

well, i will be looking forward to the next otaku fest. if there is a next. hehehe

Of me and the rain and the umbrella..

it's the rainy season again. the weather is cool and the sun won't sting you. i'm loving it except that when it rains, it really pours.

this is the time that i always carry my plain black umbrella. unpredictable weather. hmp!
i don't like using other colors because i feel like it.doesn't.suit.me.
yea, it feels weird using another color especially when it has prints, flower prints-_-

i always wear shoes on rainy days to prevent dirty water from my feet. when i say dirty, it means really dirty, water from the sewage. ew. and i would not wear a gray shirt on a rainy day since it would be really obvious if you got soaked under the rain. don't believe me? try it>=] *update 1-25-11* never wear blue jeans when it is raining or jeans that can reach below your ankle(coz it gathers water on the floor.XD).

what i hate about rain and umbrellas is when you go somewhere and it is raining, you are forced to use an umbrella. and these usually happen:
-riding a jeepney with a dripping umbrella. people would really dislike this because there's a chance that their pants, shorts, shoes or whatever would get wet. *scowl, scowl,scowl*
-arriving at your destination and there is nowhere to put your dripping umbrella
-strolling around the mall with your dripping friend

other stuffs i hate when it rains:
-specks of mud on your back or at the back of our pants or if you are wearing shorts/skirt, on your calf
-clogged sewage at the corner of our street. it causes the water to rise. and eventually invade our place.
-the traffic. the TRAFFIC.
-water on your feet when wearing slippers/flipflops/sandals/shoewithlargeholes/orwhateverthatisnotanormallookingshoeXD
-bringing important documents. chances are, they would get splashed with water. ok, that is too harsh, let's just say sprinkled with water.
-our unfortunate neighbors who can only take a bath when it rains. they would run around shouting as if they are burning in H*LL. yea, they do that. and you would be semi-deaf once the rain stops.
-our neighbors broken gutter. all their rainwater goes to our place often the cause of flooding. they should really get it fixed

i think this is all i can remember.@_@

What I Did with My First Salary

i can't believe two weeks have passed already.

so here's what i did with my salary:
-bought chew toys for our dogs
-bought ice cream for my relatives ( it is some kind of tradition to for us to buy ice cream on our first salary)
-went a shopping spree with my sister at the supermarket. bought lots of food.(i can't believe we spent that much on food.XD)
-bought a UV filter for our beloved camera
-bought shoes and stuffs for my future costume
-bought a mouse for the desktop(i think we also need a new keyboard-_-)
-another set of food(we can't  get enough)

that's about it but at least there still some left. teehee

What's with this layout?

i should really start organizing this blog.
but, but, but...
i am too lazy-_-
i wanna change the layout but then again. too lazy
*sigh*

 hhmmm..... maybe i should make a doggie blog for Zero.... =D

First few weeks at work

ok. so now i have a job.
that means waking up early. T_T

as the new kid i tend to be shy, silent, eyes straight to the monitor , yada yada <---typically me. they taught me what to do and i follow them. duh. the first week was my trial week and i think i did good. but then my body wasn't able to cope up with my new lifestyle and guess what? i felt weird and had to get a sick leave on the first Friday of my first week at my first job. hahahaha.  the culprit? lack of sleep! i was only able to sleep 8 hours a day and as i have said in my previous entry, i need at least 10 hours of sleep.-_-

the 2nd week was a lot better. i was given more sites to handle so that means more work. i'd rather work than do nothing. the not so good part is that every morning i had to go to the CSR's(Customer Service Representative) corner to do my work since we still lack computer units. there something about their aura that makes me feel... well, i don't know... not right. i feel a lot better after 10 am since i transfer to my teams' corner or aisle or whatever it's called. hahaha. and the aura of the gamers  are comforting. it's like college all over again. and yes, there is an invisible wall between the CSRs and the gamers. i can feel it. oh, we also transferred to the next room. the silence is just deafening. i totally miss the constant jokes from the gamers. the new room is just sssooooooo quiet. no music since someone says so=( and we had to endure a week of glaring sun in the morning because the blinds were not installed yet.

3rd week is here. a bit busy because of the new assignments. i almost got soaked under the rain yesterday even though i had an umbrella. the weather lately is unpredictable. the blinds were finally installed yesterday and i got my first paycheck today.;] and we are looking forward to our new team  mates.

~i take in drugs(vitamins) every morning to boost my stamina.
 ~i usually don't eat breakfast but i am slowly learning how coz i get hungry before the clock strikes lunch.XD so i started eating oatmeal last Monday.
~a 4-6 minute early morning walk would do me good. stamina boost!!!
~is mastering the technique of crossing a crossing(you know, where all the cars from different directions meet. you know what i mean?) it is faster this way instead if going to the pedestrians' crossing at the other block.
~we also develop a habit of eating Chuckie popsicles after lunch. it is healthy anyway. just like drinking milk but frozen.
~eating lunch is ok too. not too expensive. just like college=] i even get to eat at Tagalas last week=D
~i am loving my team.


Workmates:

~i know Glorie is an anime fan but i don't think she knows that i know.
~i like Jo's choice of music.
~our team leader Xylon(i love her name, it is so cool), let us do whatever we want as long as we do our job well and meet deadlines. a pretty cool team right? Girl Power!!!
~together with our TL are Keith and Charisse. they are super fun especially Keith.
~there is also another Keith: the writer. haven't talked to him much because he only comes to work if he is required to write something.
~i forgot about Den, he is part of our team although he uuuhhmm... i think he doesn't like his work but i am pretty sure he likes playing Dota
~we also have our programmers: John and En, they are both funny although En already went to work with another company.

~there is also Angie, the one who cleans the 7th floor, she is so friendly.
~i didn't get all the names of the gamers coz there are a lot of them but all are funny. being with them reminds me a lot of college days.
~the CSRs..... are..... English speakers.XD playing while taking calls. Multi-tasking=D


oh! it is almost 10 pm. time to sleep

Last few days as a bum

for the last four days, i kept on sleeping and waking up late. since i know that once i enter the real world, i wont be able to sleep for more than 10 hours.

i was planning on doing an anime marathon but ended up watching only 2 episodes of Hayate no Gotoku.
because i can't let go of the PSP. at least i was able to finish Aquas' story before the end of the week.:D
all that is left are to collect all the treasures & stickers, do some melding and maybe unlock the secret movie. i am playing Kingdom hearts: Birth by Sleep by the way.

when it comes to these kind of situations in my life, i always feel confused.@_@
i don't know if i should be happy or sad.

i will be sad because i had to leave my unproductive life. my unproductivity(is there even such a word?XD) is caused by video games, anime marathons, movie marathons, failed attempt of our secret projects, love of sleep .... i am gonna miss all of these. hahahaha

i will officially start work tomorrow which makes me happy, excited.... afraid? hahaha
this means i had to wake up early again just like school but hey! at least it's not an hour away from our house. and i can exercise every weekday.

i better start sleeping early now...... NOT! our neighbors are very noisy. can't sleep while they are singing like they are gonna join a contest on who is the best singer in the universe.  uuhhhhggggg....

Drix @ 22

We only decided what to give him 24 hours before our get together.
Our goal was to make a shirt printed with the nicknames he collected over the past years.
I think Jym  came up with this idea.
Since it was An2x's time to sleep, I had to go downtown to buy the shirt and printing materials.
The design was simple (except for the images)
I immediately printed the design when An2x woke up.
She decided not to include the images since some of it were complicated and we are running out of time.
We only had one silkscreen so we had to print my Squad #2 shirt as not to waste the stencil.
After printing, An2x went to work with the green film while I was left to remove the stencil on the silkscreen.
It took me about an hour or so since it cant be peeled of easily. I had to rub huge amounts of lacquer thinner which later made my fingers bloated.T_T
After printing the first part, we noticed there were some errors at the letters' edges.
So we decided to add a little something to make it look good.=D
I was able to sleep at 6++am and I was supposed to wake up at 9 am but I was too tired and overslept for an hour.
After waking up, we immediately printed the 2nd part so that it could dry properly.
As I look at my bloated fingers, I noticed that my fingernails were really dirty! It was the paint and green film's fault. I had to scrub them with soap and water but it didn't came off. I wouldn't dare touch the lacquer thinner since I already knew what it would do to my skin.>.<
So i had no choice but to cover it with nail polish. And I didn't find my black nail polish so I had to settle with the shining shimmering violet one. Then I remembered that I had lots of other things to do after painting my nails. Stupid me.  I ended up having messy nails.

The plan was to meet at Time Zone but we went to the Terraces since Judy and Jym were there and we had a lot of planning to do. To our dismay, Drix was also there. hmp! Our surprise was almost spilled! One of our surprises was Lorena's arrival at Cebu. To make it more fun, Lorena decided to wear the home-made shirt and tie a ribbon on her neck.=D

We had lunch at Teriyaki Boy courtesy of Drix. We had lots to talk about since we hadn't had the chance to had a mini reunion in a while. When Lorena entered, Drix was so shocked. We had to laugh at him.XD what a surprise. Talk.Eat. Talk. Drink. Eat. Talk. Drink. Eat. Talk. CR. Talk. CR. Talk. Drink. CR. Talk. hahahaha. I was happy that Karissa was there despite her busy schedule.=]

After lunch, we went to Time Zone and played for a bit. Then strolled around the mall.
Comicon was not that nice. I didn't get it. hahahaha. They should have placed lots of booths that relates to the event. I only enjoyed  the table with lots of Gundams.-_- The Cosplayers were not even entertaining.

We decided to go to Sm since Drix had to buy something there. Strolled for a bit then went to Bibo and played. You guys still couldn't beat us. hahahaha. They decided to go to IT Park to meet with the CS people. But I decided not to since I had lots of other things to do and I know An2x would be against it. hehe.

Our surprise wouldn't be complete without the cake and candles(or something close to this). So we devise a plan to surprise him again with the cake and candle thingy. Judy made a story that she had to go up to buy something and both An2x and me had to do groceries. We split into 2 groups, while they were going to Dunkin Donuts, we were heading to Red Ribbon. But the group decided to buy something from Brownies Unlimited instead. We bought candles and a lighter then went to Dunkin Donuts.

Judy carried the Silvanas while Harris helped her light the candles. And this time, I'm armed with a camera. We wouldn't want to miss Drix's reaction. THERE! caught it and will upload later if I will not be too lazy=D

I had a great time with you guys and I couldn't wait for our next crazy moments.=D

Oi Drix! why do you always get a surprise thingy from us? hehe

Migrating Friendster Blog to Bloggers

After a bit of researching, i'm finally able to migrate my Friendster blog here. cheers for me=D

i'll just give a summary on how i did it
-visit your Friendster blog and click manage
-under the manage tab, click export and download the .XML file to your computer
-convert the downloaded .XML file here
-on your Blogger settings, click the Basic tab
-under blog tools, click import blog and upload  your converted .XML file.

did it work? teehee=D
